Arkansas Bluestar (Amsonia hubrichtii)
$5.50
Slow growing, long lived. Blue star like flowers around the spring equinox. Lance leaf foliage that glows golden yellow in fall with appropriate sun. This plant becomes a large mound over the course of a decade; some use it like a small shrub. Technically only native to Arkansas, found in a creek back in the 1940s and introduced to conventional horticulture trade in the 1990-2000s. We carry this plant because it has amazing texture and is an amazing addition to any naturalistic or formal garden. Highly valuable to early season pollinators.
