Grower’s Choice Buckthorn Repair Kit

Are you ready to do battle with the infamous and invasive Common Buckthorn (Rhamnus cathartica). This is one of Minnesota’s most ruthless pest plants. Thriving in disturbed areas under mature trees, on roadsides, in back alleys, along wooded edges and fence rows. An allelopathic plant that alters the ecology of sites that it infests, suppressing the regrowth of native flora. After removing this plant ecosystems are left vulnerable to erosion or invasion by other ruderal plants. Stop the cycle by planting species like woodland rye grasses, sedges and fast-growing forbs after you remove a buckthorn patch.

This kit requires at least Part Sun conditions with medium to dry shade soil moisture.

Recommended for 30 - 50 sq. ft. May contain tree, vines or shrub seedlings.

Grower's Choice Garden Kits include:

32x 2.5" POWER PLUGS

With 4-8x different species depending on your kit selection.

All kits come with  30-50%  graminoids (grasses, sedges or rushes). Why? It’s not just filler. Graminoids serve many functions including creating habitat and food for wildlife, building healthy soil structures, holding up top heavy forbs and acting as negative space for the human eye to rest in garden designs.

PRICE: $100 — A SAVINGS of $12 or 3x FREE plants.
