Plants that complete their life cycle in one growing season. They make a lot of flowers, seeds and/or fruits. This life cycle strategy is less common in our ecosystems, but you should always include native annuals in new plantings to feed local insects and encourage repeat visitation. Annuals also provide a much need pop of color to bare looking new plantings. In Spring we offer a variety of organically grown vegetables including heirloom, landrace, and regionally adapt varietals that fit this category.
