POT SIZE

A fast-growing shrub with massive ecosystem functions! Provides both early spring flowers with nectar/pollen for early rising insects and acts as a host plant for dozens of caterpillars. Bebb's willow prefers wet soil conditions however don't pigeon-hole it, like Pussy Willow and Prairie Willow it can adapt to many different soil conditions and would play nice in a low spot in your yard, a ditch, roadside seep, mixed hedge, pond shore, creek or an open wet meadow situation. It can hang with some shade but prefers sun. Has a beautiful vaselike shape with excellent movement in the wind, luscious red tinge to the leaves in some seasons. Male and female flowers are on separate plants (dioecious) so purchase at least 3-5 if you want breeding pairs. We have not currently sexed our willows. Can be pruned into a tree shape with a single leader, sometimes it naturally takes that shape. Average height is around 12-15 feet but can grow up to 25 in happy conditions.
