Catalpa (Catalpa Speciosa)

Fast growing tree. Perfect for suburban and urban lots. A stately tree with gorgeous orchid looking flowers and Dr. Suess looking seed pods. 

Not technically native to MN but it was brought here by settlers to be used as fast source of lumber.
