Chokecherry (Prunus Virginiana)

Multi-stemmed short tree that is versatile in its soil, sun and moisture needs/tolerances. White flowers in spring smell wonderful and produce clusters of black berries that birds delight in. Edible for humans but require some processing. New leaves have a red tinge to them making. Beautiful technicolor orange and red fall color. Excellent choice for wildlife gardens, edges or even as specimen tree.
