Golden Alexanders (Zizia Aurea)

Insect magnet around summer solstice. Tough as nails. Grows tall in gardens and short out in the prairie. Can tolerate a fair amount of shade and still bloom. Deer and rabbits avoid. A go-to garden plant for the natural gardener. Host for swallowtail butterflies. Foliage turns a wonderful red and purple in fall.
